Skype allows you to exchange messages in real time, as well as make video calls anywhere in the world, if your interlocutor is also a Skype user.
Instructions
Step 1
To change your avatar in Skype, first of all, you need to open the program itself. In the authorization window, enter your username and password. Thus, you will enter your account in the program, and a page with personal data will open in front of you.

At the top left of the window, click the Skype button. In the list that opens, select the second menu item - "Personal data". After that, a tab with three commands will appear on the right. Left-click on the first one - "Change my avatar".

Also, instead of the function "Change my avatar", you can choose the last command - "Edit my details". In the window that opens, you will see your current avatar. Click the "Change avatar" command, which is located under your photo.
Step 4
Decide if you want to take a photo at the moment and choose it as your new Skype avatar, or if you prefer to upload an existing photo or picture.
Step 5
In the first case, in the avatar replacement window that opens, look at the video on the right side of the page. Choose the best angle for your photo. When you like the image, click the "Take Snapshot" button at the bottom of the window. If the resulting photo suits you and you want to make it your new avatar in Skype, left-click on the "Use this image" button.
Step 6
If you want to install a photo or an image from your computer's memory in the program, click the "Browse" button and select an image to install as an avatar. Then click on the command "Use this image".
Step 7
If you do not like the photo taken by the webcam or you have uploaded the wrong photo by mistake, instead of the "Use this image" button, click on the "Try again" command. Then take a new photo or choose another picture from your computer.
Step 8
After that, your avatar will be changed, and the selected photo or picture will be set as your new image in Skype. Your interlocutors will be able to see this avatar when they correspond with you, and users who want to add you as a friend will see it when searching for new contacts. So that your potential Skype friends can be sure that they have found you, you can set your personal information. If you don't want your friends to find you, you can choose any other image as your avatar.
