As technology grows, so does the volume of files that we sometimes need to transfer. There are several ways today. The easiest way is to transfer the file in the old fashioned way to a CD-R, flash drive or hard disk. A great option when you don't have an internet connection, but have a little more time.

If you have internet, use the file exchange service. They are for every taste: with and without registration, paid and free, with different restrictions on the amount of storage and the size of the transferred files. The mechanism is simple: first you upload your file to the server, receive a link, which you then forward to the addressee. He follows the link to the server and downloads your file. On such exchangers, files are stored for some time, so they are convenient because your file can be downloaded an unlimited number of times.

A similar method, but requiring the installation of an additional program, is to create a torrent file. Everything is simple here: create a torrent file using the utorrent program, run it on your computer and send the torrent file to the recipient by mail or messenger. It weighs several kilobytes, so there will be no difficulties with its transfer. An important point: the addressee will be able to download the file only if your computer is connected to the network. And this transfer does not guarantee privacy.

But, perhaps, your file contains confidential information that you are not ready to entrust to the server under any circumstances. Then you can use direct file transfer services. The transfer process takes place in real time: prepare the file for transfer and, without closing the browser window, send the receiving party a link (or code, password) to the file. Now the receiving party must download it from the link received.
