The election procedure in the public administration system is carried out on the basis of generally accepted laws (the Constitution of the country). In order to nominate your own or someone else's candidacy for the post of deputy, you must comply with a number of established requirements.

Instructions

Step 1

Direct nomination of a candidate can be carried out by self-nomination; an electoral bloc or association. The legislation of the Russian Federation does not provide for other subjects for the implementation of this procedure.

Step 2

If you are planning to self-nominate your own candidacy, notify the election commission in which the registration will be carried out. Stick to the deadlines when doing this.

Step 3

Organize a procedure for collecting signatures in support of self-nomination or provide an electoral deposit. It is 15% of the maximum amount of spending by a candidate's electoral fund established by the law of the Russian Federation. The form of the signature list is approved by the election commission that organizes the elections.

Step 4

A public association must be registered no later than a year before voting day, in case of calling elections to local self-government bodies - no later than 6 months.

Step 5

The nomination of candidates by political parties is carried out in accordance with the Federal Law; other public associations - at congresses (meetings, conferences) of these associations, regional or local branches by a secret ballot procedure.

Step 6

A candidate acquires the corresponding rights and obligations after the election commission receives a notification of his nomination, as well as an application from a candidate confirming his consent to participate in elections in this constituency.

Step 7

In the application, indicate biographical information, address of residence, passport data, citizenship, information on convictions.

Step 8

The candidate must make a commitment, if elected to office, not to engage in activities that are incompatible with the status of a deputy.

Step 9

In the application, a candidate for deputy must indicate his affiliation with at least one public association, which is registered in accordance with the procedure established by law, as well as his status in this public association and a document confirming the specified information.

Step 10

Together with the application, the CEC must be provided with information on the size and sources of income of the candidate, as well as on the property that belongs to him as property, on securities, and deposits in the bank. The above documents must be submitted personally by the candidate.
