The changes that affected the circle of friends in the most popular social network "Vkontakte" caused a large number of negative reviews from users. What has changed is this: if you canceled a person's request to add him as a friend, now he will remain with you as a subscriber. In addition, any person you do not know can become a subscriber of your updates without adding them to your friends.
Changes to "Vkontakte"
When you subscribe to a person, all his updates will now be in your news feed. Also, your updates will appear regularly in the news of your subscribers. The difference between signing up and being a friend is that signing up is not a mutually agreed process, and a person will not need your consent to sign up for you.
Some users are not entirely pleased when people they do not know subscribe to their news, and even more so those with whom they do not even want to date (this can be, for example, an ex-boyfriend, a new girlfriend of a boyfriend, or a boyfriend of an ex-girlfriend). And the spammers, of whom there are plenty now, will not please you with their presence.
Ways to remove unwanted subscribers
There are no official ways to remove Vkontakte subscribers. But there are several devious ones, of which at least one should definitely help. First, you can try to politely ask the person to unsubscribe by writing him a message. Or you can leave a message on the wall that will be addressed to all your subscribers. They will surely see your message later in their news feed and some of them will be removed from the number of subscribers.
However, of course, there is no guarantee that unwanted subscribers will unsubscribe from you so easily. Not everyone will notice your message. Spammers, as a rule, will ignore your request, and for some people you yourself will not even want to write to avoid communicating with them. And if the number of subscribers is large enough, writing to each separately will be quite a tedious pastime.
Fortunately, there is another suitable option. It consists in limiting subscribers' access to reading your personal information as much as possible. To do this, go to the "My Settings" menu item, then open the "Privacy" tab, in which you can make part of your information visible only to friends.
This method has one drawback. You will not completely manage to close access to your data on the page to subscribers, some of the information will still be visible.
You can also remove subscribers by adding them to your blacklist. To do this, on the page where the subscribers are located, simply hover over the avatar of any person and click on the small cross at the top right. After that, a window will appear in which there will be confirmation of the subscriber being added to this list. The person will no longer be able to send friend requests and watch your page, and besides, he will not be visible among your subscribers.
If for some reason you decide to remove a person from the blacklist, you need to go to the "My settings" section, find the user and click on the "Remove from the list" link. Please note that after being removed from your blacklist, the person's account will return to the subscriber list.
