Some sites today contain such a volume of information that it was difficult to scrape together the entire network at the beginning of the modern history of the Internet. The problem of web search has become a global problem of virtual reality for quite some time now. But each of us has to solve our local search problems based on the available search tools. Let's clarify what opportunities we have for finding the information you need on any particular web resource.
Instructions
Step 1
On the pages of the vast majority of sites in the network there are "Site Search" forms. Unfortunately, there is no common search standard for all sites, so the creators of various Internet resources organize the search engine based on personal preferences. To find something on a specific site, you first need to find this very form for entering a search query. Many sites offer both "simple" and "advanced" search forms. First, try entering your request in a simple form. If the search gives too many found options, then, apparently, additional refinements of the query cannot be avoided.
Step 2
Go to the advanced search query option. It differs from the simple one by the possibility of a clearer definition of the search framework - for example, to limit the search to certain sections of the site, or only to publications of one author, or to a specified period of time, etc. The detail of the search depends on the structure of the site, as well as on the quality of the work done by the creators. The variant in which the search gives nothing, and "manual" viewing of the information will bring the desired result, unfortunately, is not so rare. This leads to the third option for site search.
Step 3
The monster of Internet search - Google will help you to implement an alternative search for information on a specific resource. Go to the site of this search engine and enter your request, and then (separated by a space) add to the search bar an instruction to search only on the Internet resource you need. For example, for a search on the site KakProsto.ru, such an indication should look like this: site: KakProsto.ru In its full form, the search query may look like this: How to remember the dream site: KakProsto.ru If there are too many options found, then the search can be refined - take in quotes the search phrase: "How to remember a dream" site: KakProsto.ruWithout quotes, Google checked for the presence of individual words of your query on the site pages, and now it will only search for the whole phrase. There are other modifiers for Google search queries. For example, you can specify which words (or phrases) should not be on the found pages if you add this word (or phrase in quotation marks) to your search query with a minus sign. Etc.
