The prevalence of tablets, smartphones and other mobile devices has created an excellent opportunity for almost 24/7 access to instant messaging tools. Chatting with friends and colleagues while sitting on the subway or waiting for a doctor's appointment - why not? The only problem is that the mobile Internet connection speed is low, and viewing ads takes away unnecessary traffic. So, we remove ads in QIP.
Instructions
Step 1
When installing the QIP distribution, abandon the full installation and accept the custom one. Uncheck the checkboxes next to the items "Install https://start.qip.ru as default page", "Install https://start.qip.ru by default search tool" and "Install extension in Firefox for authorization on services". After that, proceed with the installation with default settings.
Step 2
Launch QIP and uncheck the "Notify about the news of the QIP project and its services" checkbox (General Settings). For some versions of QIP, direct deactivation of an advertising banner is available: check the box "Do not show banner in contact list". After that, the program must be restarted.
Step 3
Do not install additional plugins and skins for QIP that you downloaded from unknown sources - many of them contain their own advertising banner or link to the affiliate program. Of course, many utilities are very user-friendly (for example, the antispam module or the utility for viewing transferred files). Here you have to decide: whether to get additional functionality in exchange for an advertising banner or save traffic on viewing ads by abandoning some functions.
