The Winlock program is a godsend for the system administrator and anyone in general who wants to restrict outsiders' access to information and applications on their computer. With its help, you can block not only access to folders and files, but also set a ban on the launch of programs. For example, the Mozilla browser.

Instructions

Step 1

Open the Winlock program. On the left side of the window there are several tabs - select "Access" and the item "Programs". The application blocking menu will appear on the right side of the program window.

Step 2

To add Mozilla to the list of blocked programs, click the Add button. A new window will open in which you will be asked to enter information about the prohibited program. Then you can do it in two ways.

Step 3

The first way - click on the "Browse" button and in the window that opens, specify the path to the browser exe-file. By default, the program is installed in the C: / Program Files / Mozilla Firefox directory. But in your case it may be different, depending on which path you specified when installing the program. Select the exe file with the left click and click "Open". In the next window, click "Add" and then "Close". Check the box next to the name of the program you just added. In the drop-down menu located at the top of the program, select "Block by name". Several more actions will follow, but they will be described in the fifth step of the instruction, since they are the same for both the first and second methods.

Step 4

The second way is to enter the word firefox in the input field. In this case, the program will block the launch of the program based on its name or from the words in the name. But by a strange coincidence, Winlock will not block the browser in any way if you specify mozilla in the input field. So write firefox. Click Add and then Close. In the list, check the box next to firefox, and in the drop-down menu, select "Block by information".

Step 5

Click on the OK button located in the upper right corner of the window. A message will appear warning you that the password must contain at least two characters, and then the "Protection" window will open, in which you will be asked to enter this password and confirm it. When finished, click OK. The Winlock program will be minimized to the tray, to access its settings, and therefore to unlock Mozilla, the user will have to enter the password you specified.
