Instructions

Step 1

First, select the picture that you would like to insert into the page. Make sure it's not copyrighted and you won't have any problems using it on your site. In no case should you remove the copyright of the author. Better check with him and ask for permission to use the image.

Step 2

Upload the picture to the server hosting your site, or to any photo bank (for example, radikal.ru). Copy the address of the picture and save it in a text document.

Step 3

The main tag with which images are displayed on the site is where, instead of asterisks, you must insert the URL of the image. If you write the tag in this way, the image on your site will be displayed in its original size and with a purple border around it.

Step 4

If you want to remove the border, then the tag should look like this:. If, on the other hand, you would like to have a border around the image, specify the desired size in pixels instead of zero. And with the help of the bordercolor attribute, you can set the desired border color. For example, a tagged picture will have a four pixel black border.

Step 5

With the help of the prescribed attribute you can change the size of the picture. To do this, put in the tag the values of the width and height parameters, which indicate the width and height of the picture, respectively. The values you need must be in pixels and enclosed in quotes.

Step 6

In order for the picture to fit well into the structure of the site, it must be placed correctly. The align attribute in the tag will help you with this. It can take on different values: left, right, and center. The first option means that the picture will be placed on the left of the page, the second - on the right, while the third will allow you to place the picture in the center of the page. These values must also be enclosed in quotation marks.

Step 7

After you have completely written the picture tag, insert it into your site structure and save the changes. If you did everything correctly, the picture will appear on your page.
