Modern mail services have several layers of security. Even if you forget your mailbox password, you have several ways to recover it. In this case, confidential information will be used, excluding access to the mailbox by third parties.
Instructions
Step 1
Give the correct answer to the security question. This will open access to the password recovery system. The secret question method is one of the oldest mailbox security measures, which is present in almost all mail services. Enter your security question along with the answer when registering your e-mail box. It can be either standard ("Brand of the first car", "Last 5 digits of TIN", "Mother's maiden name"), or your own, the text of which you will have to create yourself. Choose a security question in such a way that only you know the answer. This will help prevent your mailbox from being hacked.
Step 2
Enter the address of the additional mailbox. This email address is listed along with the security question when registering mail. If you decide to return your password using this method, then after specifying the email address, the previously specified address will be checked, and in case of a match, instructions will be sent to this address to return your password. Before recovering your password using this method, make sure that you have access to the additional mailbox.
Step 3
Use a mobile phone number linked to your email account. Some email services apply account verification using an SMS message sent to a specified mobile phone number. This number can also be used for password recovery. In order to return your password from a verified mail account, in a special field, enter the phone number to which you will receive a message with a special digital code. Enter this code in the next field, after which you will get access to your email. Please note that the phone number must be specified in the account in advance, otherwise this recovery method cannot be applied.
