Thus, in the invisible mode, you are online, but other ICQ users do not see you (you are offline for them). The best and most reliable way to check if a person is in invisible mode is to check his UIN number through the website. An example of such a site is a resource - www.kanicq.ru. This site, as well as similar ones, has a direct connection with the ICQ server. To check the exact status of the user, you just need to enter his identification number (UIN) in the field provided for this, and then click the "Check" button. The site automatically sends a request to the ICQ server and literally in a few seconds gives you the true user status set at the moment (the speed of response to the request depends mainly on the speed of your Internet connection)

There is another way, which in some cases also allows you to find out the real status of the user in ICQ (the ability to check depends on the icq client installed on the computer of the person being checked).
This method consists in a new search for a person in the database and a subsequent request for his status.
To do this, you need to go to the menu of your icq-client, select the line "Add / find users" in it. A contact search window will open in front of you, in which you should enter the data necessary to search for a specific person (the easiest way is to copy his number (win) and paste it into the input line "Search by ICQ #"). It is also necessary to put a tick in the line "Online only", and then click the "Search" button. If the user is connected, you will see a line with his number. Also, for persuasiveness, you can call the context menu of the contact (by right-clicking), in which then select the line "Check contact status". In response to this request, the program will give you a notification about the status of the contact.
