Configuring the Outlook application included in the Microsoft Office suite through a proxy boils down to reconfiguring the application to work with Microsoft Exchange. The main requirement for the system is to have SP2 installed.
Instructions
Step 1
Call the main system menu by clicking the "Start" button and go to the "Control Panel" item of the workstation. Launch the Mail application and open the "Tools" menu in the upper toolbar of the program window. Specify the "Account Settings" item and go to the "E-mail" tab of the dialog box that opens. Click the New button and apply the check box next to Manually configure server settings or additional server types.
Step 2
Confirm your choice by clicking the "Next" button and mark the checkbox in the "Microsoft Exchange Server" line in the next dialog box. Save your change by clicking Next and type ex01.mps.local in the Microsoft Exchange Server field and the user account name in the Username field in the new dialog box. Use the "Other settings" command and select the "Connection" tab in the next dialog box.
Step 3
Apply the check box next to "Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP" and click the "Exchange proxy settings …" button in the "Outlook Anywhere" section. Type exchange.parking.ru in the "URL for connecting to the Exchange proxy server" field in the "Connection settings" section of the dialog box that opens and select the "Basic authentication" option in the drop-down list of the "Authentication settings for the proxy server" line. changes by clicking OK and click Next.
Step 4
Type the name of the e-mail mailbox in the opened window of authorization on the server and enter your password. Confirm the correctness of the specified data by clicking the OK button and use the "Finish" command in the last dialog box to apply the changes made. Then launch Outlook and type in your email address and password in the authorization window. Confirm the entry into the program by clicking the OK button.
