It is customary to use a router to create a local network with Internet access. But in a situation where this network will consist of only two computers, you can do without special equipment.

Instructions
Step 1
You will need a total of three network cards. If each computer has only one network adapter, then purchase another one and connect it to one of the PCs. It is this computer that will act as a server on your network. Be sure to update the drivers for the new network card.
Step 2
Connect the ISP cable to this computer. Connect the second network adapter to a similar device on another computer. Use a network cable for this. Turn on both PCs. Configure the Internet connection on the computer that was selected for the server role. Open the list of network connections of this PC.
Step 3
Find the internet connection icon and right-click on it. Go to the properties of this connection. Open the "Access" tab. Find the item "Allow other network users to use this Internet connection." Check the box next to it, thereby activating it. Select the required local network.
Step 4
Go to the properties of the other network card that is connected to the second PC. Highlight "Internet Protocol TCP / IP" and press the "Options" button. Activate the item "Use the following IP address" by checking the box next to it. Enter 129.109.129.1 in the "IP address" field. Click the "OK" button to save the settings for this network card.
Step 5
Go to the second computer and open the TCP / IP settings menu as described in the previous step. Set a new static IP address for this PC, which will differ from the previously entered IP only in the last segment. Complete the third and fourth fields on this menu by entering the IP address of the first computer. Save settings and reboot both PCs. Activate the internet connection on the first computer and check the network availability on the second PC.
