Step 1
If you want to change your login (your pseudonym in the system or nickname, as it is also called), surname or first name, then keep in mind that it is not yet possible to do this directly through the Mail Agent program itself. To make changes to your profile, first go to the official e-mail site mail.ru. Log in by entering a valid username and password.
Step 2
In the upper right corner of the page, you will find the "Settings" column. Click on it to get to the section dedicated to the settings for all services associated with the mail.ru project. The central column contains "Personal data". Click on this link, and you can edit all the necessary data and update information about yourself. Such data include name, surname, patronymic, login, date of birth and much more.

Please note that all the specified information will be displayed not only in the Mail Agent program, but also on other project services.
Step 4
Remember to save your new settings. To do this, you need to enter your email access password in the "Current password" line and click on the "Save" button. After that, your username will be updated.

However, this is not the only way that other data can be established. You can also change your login and other information through another system from mail.ru - "My World". Log in, and on the left you will see a menu called "Profile". Follow the link to be able to change not only the nickname, but also the last name, first name, patronymic, marital status, date of birth and place of residence.
Step 6
After making the desired changes, save the result by clicking on the appropriate button. By the way, you can put a tick in front of the box that says that you can be found by your personal data. This will make it easier for all friends and acquaintances to find your profile.
