Step 1
Select your snapshots that are suitable for mailbox rendering. Don't use beach or other highly personal photos. Give preference to portraits where the face takes up most of the frame. Evaluate the correspondence of the selected images to the purpose of this email address. For example, for personal messages, you can use romantic images, and for business letters, it is better to choose strict photos.
Step 2
Crop the selected picture using any suitable photo editor. The point is that your email avatar is square in shape. It also needs to be expressive, since its small size does not allow you to see any details. Moreover, some mailboxes have a limit on the size of the downloaded file. Therefore, either cut out your face from a large picture, or reduce the size of the existing frame to those accepted on the Internet. As a rule, this is no more than 100-200 kilobytes. In separate postal services, for example, Mail.ru, there is a built-in ability to select the desired part of the image.
Step 3
Go to your email. If the service does not automatically recognize you, enter your username and password. Enter the settings. In different postal Internet resources, they are located in different parts of the letter. For example, if in Yandex.ru you need to search in the upper right corner, then in Mail.ru - at the bottom of the page, closer to the center. It may not be a word, but an icon, such as a gear. Select the section that is responsible for information about the mailbox master. In Yandex.ru mail it is called "Information about the sender", and in Mail.ru - "Personal data".
Step 4
Upload your prepared photo. To do this, click on the appropriate link, and you will see a standard form. Choose the path to the file on your computer or set the address on the Internet where you want to take the photo. Some services allow you to take a picture from a webcam.
