If you have forgotten your mailbox password, you can try to recover it. Modern email services offer several ways to recover your password.
Instructions
Step 1
The traditional way to recover a forgotten mailbox password is to answer the security question correctly. The security question is determined at the time of email registration. This question can be standard, which can be selected from the drop-down list, for example, "Mother's maiden name", "First car make" or "Passport number", or your own, which you will need to write during registration. The password recovery system is activated if the answer to the question posed is correct (the answer is also indicated during registration). Try to choose a security question in such a way that the answer to it is known only to you, in order to avoid hacking your mailbox.
Step 2
You can also restore a forgotten password by email by entering an additional e-mail. An additional e-mail address, like a secret question, is indicated during the registration of a mailbox, and immediately after its completion, a letter is sent to it confirming that the address of this mailbox is indicated as an additional one, used to restore another. In case you do not know the answer to the security question, the system will prompt you to specify an additional address, to which you will receive a letter with instructions on how to recover a forgotten password.
Step 3
Some mail services use mailbox validation using SMS messages. If the password for such a mailbox is lost, the system will prompt the user to enter his mobile phone number (or its last 4 digits), which will receive a message with a special code giving access to the password recovery system. Please note that the phone number must be included in your email account in advance. Otherwise, this method will not work.
