Skype is a convenient program with which you can communicate for free with your loved ones and colleagues in any corner of the world. Unfortunately, it often happens that, for one reason or another, the password is forgotten, and, as a result, it becomes impossible to use Skype services. But do not despair right away - the password is quite easy to recover.
Instructions
Step 1
You can recover your password using the email you provided when you registered your Skype account. Open the Skype sign-in window. Click on the "Forgot your password" link. In the window that opens, write your email address. A letter containing two links and a special code will be sent to this address.
Step 2
Follow the first link. In it, a unique code is entered automatically. You just need to come up with and enter a new password. It is desirable that it consist of letters and numbers at the same time, which will more protect your account from unauthorized hacking. If the first link doesn't work, then open the second one. Here you need to enter the special code manually. Then enter and re-enter the new password. And remember that the password recovery code is only valid for six hours.
Step 3
If you do not remember your email address, it will be much more difficult to recover your password, but still possible. In the password recovery window, write your username. And also indicate the calculated data of any paid transaction you made through Skype. For example, the credit card number you used to top up your Skype balance. This data will be enough to find out the forgotten email address. Next, restore the password according to the above scheme.
Step 4
You can also try contacting Skype support. Describe the problem in detail. Preferably in English. Be sure to include the number of your credit card through which you paid for services in Skype, the dates of the last payments, as well as your name.
Step 5
If you have forgotten both your password and your e-mail address, and have never performed any money transactions via Skype, then it will be impossible to recover your password. Skype support simply won't be able to identify you. Better get yourself a new account.
