Instructions

Step 1

The counter code on a site with the Joomla engine can be inserted in two ways: insert it into a template or create a separate module. If you chose the first method, go to the admin panel, find the line "Extensions" at the top. Click on the inscription "Template Manager" - a list of templates will appear. Select your own from them and put a tick in front of it. At the top, click the "Edit" button, then click on the "Edit html" line. An HTML template will open in front of you.

Step 2

Choose where to insert the counter code, paste and save. The place where the code will be integrated is up to you, as it depends on your template and preference. This method is suitable for those who are more or less versed in HTML. If you are not one of this number, use the second option. To do this, you need to go to "Extensions" - "Module Manager". At the top, find the "Create" button, click on it. This will open a page showing the modules that you can create.

Step 3

Find a module called "Custom html code" and check the box next to it. Then click on the "Next" button. You will be taken to a page where you will need to insert the counter code itself into the "Custom text" field. Beforehand, you must disable the visual editor, as it can change or cut the code at random. When you insert the counter in text form, fill in the Title field and enable the module. You can also choose whether to show the title or not by checking the corresponding box.

Step 4

Determine the location of the module on the site. By default, the module will be on the left. To move it to the right side, select the right position. To move the module to the bottom of the template, use footer. You can check the rest of the positions yourself, since they differ from template to template. Next, determine the order of the module. If you place it on the left, then only those modules that are located on the left side will be shown in the "order" field. You only need to select the location of the counter in the order of the left side.
