The ability to insert videos in Joomla is activated using the AllVideos plugin. This extension allows you to place video files on the site pages and activates their playback directly from the browser window. The plugin supports various formats and can embed videos from popular online services.
Instructions
Step 1
Download the plugin from the official Joomla extensions site. To do this, go to the plugin page and click the Download button in the central part of the page, where the plugin description is located. Wait for the download to finish.
Step 2
Go to the site administration panel by entering https:// your_site_address / administrator in a browser window. Enter your username and password.
Step 3
Go to the extension installation manager section using the "Extensions" - "Extension manager" item in the control panel. Click on the "Install / Uninstall" tab.
Step 4
In the Download Package File section, click Browse and specify the path to the downloaded AllVideos archive. Click on the Download and Install button. Wait for the end of the installation procedure. If the installation is successful, a corresponding message will be displayed on the screen.
Step 5
In the menu "Extensions" - "Plugin Manager" select AllVideos. Go to extension settings. The Autoplay item sets the parameters for automatic playback of files immediately after the page is loaded. Display Download Link shows the generated download link. In the settings, you can select a template that will be responsible for displaying the video window, the directory where video files are saved, the width and height of the player, the background transparency during playback.
Step 6
After configuring the publishing options, you can start adding content with video. To do this, you need to enter a special tag in the window for adding a record to the page. So, to add an mp4 video called video, the code will look like this:

Step 7
To embed files from popular hosting, the descriptor must include their names and identifiers. For example:
