Wordpress is a free website management platform. The main advantage of the system is that it is easy to manage. You can also connect additional modules to it that will help simplify the process of creating and maintaining your blog.
Instructions
Step 1
Before creating a website, you must develop an action plan. Decide what you want to tell your blog visitors? Perhaps you will write about the upbringing and development of children, or maybe you want to talk about how to make money on the Internet. Based on your industry, come up with a domain name. This is the name of the site that serves to identify the area on the Internet. Let's say you want to run a column about children. You can choose a domain name like www.na-zametky-mame.ru.
Step 2
Choose a hosting. This is a platform that, for a small fee, will store your blog files and provide Internet visitors with access to your site. Go through the registration procedure on the hosting, purchase a domain name.
Step 3
After the name is assigned to you, you will receive an email to the email that you specified when registering on the site. This usually takes no more than 3 days. Further on the hosting you will need to create a MySQL database, specify the name of the database and the password (be sure to write them down).
Step 4
Download the Wordpress distribution. To do this, go to the official russified site of the platform, click "Download Wordpress".
Step 5
Then open the hosting control panel; select "File Manager"; specify the name of your site by double clicking on it. Here you will see the public_html folder, go to it.
Step 6
Upload Wordpress to the site. To do this, click "File" - "Upload to Server". After you upload the platform to the site, you will see its name in the public_html folder. Unzip Wordpress by clicking on it and choosing Archiver - Unzip.
Step 7
Now you need to place the files in the same place as the archive. To do this, go to the Wordpress folder, in the "Edit" section, select "Select All", and then cut them out. Move one level up by clicking on the arrow, then paste the cut files. You need to delete the empty Wordpress folder, index.htm. You can now open the blog you created in your browser.
Step 8
Log into your hosting site. Start the file manager. Rename the wp-config-sample.php file to wp-config.php by choosing Rename from the File menu. Next, edit this file. Replace database_name_here and username_here with the name of your database that you created in step 3. Replace password_here with your password.
Step 9
Launch the admin panel of your resource. The link to it should look like this: www.your_domain_name / wp-admin / install.php. At this stage, you must enter the name of the blog, username, come up with a password, provide an email address. The platform installation is complete.
