If you have photo albums on your VKontakte page, perhaps for some personal reason you wondered how you can hide them from some friends or from other users of this social network. Of course, you can simply delete your photos from the page and store them on your computer, but in this case, you will lose ratings and interesting comments on the photo. If you hide some photo albums from prying eyes, you can always open access to them again.
Instructions
Step 1
On your VKontakte page, select the My Photos menu item to open the My Albums tab, where your photo album that you want to hide is located.
Step 2
Next to the desired album, click "Available (to all users)".
Step 3
In the drop-down menu, select the desired item: "only friends", "friends and friends of friends", "only me", "everyone except …", "some friends" or "some friends lists".
Step 4
If you want to make the album available to all your friends or only to yourself, then everything is simple: select this item, and no more action is required. If you want some of your photos to be seen only by some friends, then (after clicking this item) from the drop-down list, select the list of those people who can access your album.
Step 5
If, on the contrary, you want one or several friends not to see your personal photos, select the item "to everyone except …". Then, in the window that appears, click on the item "Access is allowed to all users" to select the people to whom you allow access. To additionally filter the list of people, in the "Who is denied access?" enter the name of a friend or the name of a list of friends from whom you want to hide the album.
Step 6
If you want to filter your friends not only by the possibility of access to the album, but also the possibility of commenting on your photos, click "Edit" in front of the photo album. After that, an editing window will open.
Step 7
Select "Who can view this album?" or "Who can comment on the photos?" Then select the required answer from the drop-down list.
Step 8
If you have several photo albums and want to hide all of them, you can change your privacy settings. To do this, click "My Photos" and then open the "Privacy" tab. After that, opposite the item "Who can view photos with me" in the list that opens, select the option you want. Further actions are similar to those described above, but at the same time you can hide all photo albums at once, and not each one separately.
