Step 1
Before you can get an Internet connection from all your laptops and computers, you need to combine them into a common local network. There are several ways to solve this problem. You can create a wireless, wired, or combined local area network.
Step 2
Let's consider the most difficult option: creating and configuring a combined local area network. Get a Wi-Fi router. The only important requirement for this device is the availability of multiple LAN ports for wired connection of computers.
Step 3
Connect the Wi-Fi router to any laptop and computer using a network cable. Connect one end to the network card of your computer, and the other to the LAN port of the router.
Step 4
Open a browser and enter the router's IP address in the address bar. It can be found in the instructions for the device, but most often these are the following addresses: https://192.168.1.1 or https://192.168.0.1. Enter your username and password to access the settings. This data is also contained in the instructions
Step 5
Open Network Setup or Internet Setup. Fill in all the required fields, such as: access point, login, password and type of data transfer protocol. You can check all these parameters with your provider.
Step 6
Open the Wi-Fi wireless setting. In the English version, this item is called Wireless Setup. Enter the name and password of your future wireless network. Specify the type of radio signal, for example: 802.11g, and the type of data encryption, for example: WPA2-PSK.
Step 7
Save the changed settings and reboot the router. If the “Reboot” function is absent in its menu, then disconnect the power from the router for 15-20 seconds.
Step 8
Connect computers to the router using network cables. Connect laptops to a wireless hotspot.
