Having your own server allows you to implement a lot of useful functions. If you do not have the opportunity to allocate a computer for these purposes, create free proxy servers.
It is necessary
- - python 2.6;
- - Google App Engine SDK.
Instructions
Step 1
Start by registering your own Google account. If you already have a mailbox at mail.google.com, use it to sign in. Otherwise, you need to create a new account.
Step 2
Go to www.appengine.google.com/start. Enter the details of the created account for authorization in the system. Click the Create an Application button. Fill out the form provided by entering your mobile phone number. After receiving the message with the code, enter the given combination and click the Next button.
Step 3
Come up with a name for your server. Enter it in the Domain name field. If the specified name is not used, check the box next to the link to the text of the license agreement. Be sure to remember the selected domain name.
Step 4
Go to www.python.org and download the python 2.6 (or newer) utility installation files. Install the program. Go to code.google.com. Download the Google App Engine SDK app. Install it.
Step 5
Find and download the proxy server HTML page template. Usually it is a url input field and additional information about the owner of this server. Change the content of the template yourself if you have the appropriate skills.
Step 6
Launch the main menu of the Google App Engine Launcher. Open the Preferences tab located on the Edit menu. Fill in the Name field with your domain address. Now open the Add Existing Application item and select the downloaded site template.
Step 7
Click the Deploy button after preparing the program settings. The server is now ready to go. Remember that the functioning of this resource does not depend on your computer. Use the Google App Engine Launcher to change the look of the start page.
