The Internet is associated with almost every area of our life. With it, we can communicate, work and even have fun. Regardless of the purpose of use, high Internet speed is required. It is impossible to enhance the modem signal without changing the tariff plan, but there is a possibility of increasing the speed by distributing traffic priorities.
Instructions
Step 1
If you use the Internet to surf the web and the speed of loading pages is critical to you, you should check your browser for the possibility of disabling the loading of elements that are unnecessary at the moment. Disabling the loading of elements such as pictures, java and flash applications can significantly increase the speed of loading pages. In addition, pay attention to third-party processes that may be using the Internet at a given time. Disable download managers, torrents, as well as any applications that may currently be using the network connection channel. Often, programs download updates while in the background, which significantly slows down the page loading speed. Open the tray and disable all programs that can download updates at the moment.
Step 2
To increase the download speed when using the download manager, you should minimize the activity on the network, reducing to zero the number of programs that can use the access channel at the moment. Give the highest priority to current downloads. If there is more than one file in the download queue, set the maximum number of simultaneous downloads to one. When downloading a file, keep in mind that the less browser you use, the faster the download will take place.
Step 3
If you are using a torrent, follow all the guidelines in step 2. The torrent should be the only application that uses your network connection at the time of the download. Set the maximum number of concurrent downloads to one, disable the rate limiting for active downloads. Set the download priority to the highest and minimize the allowed upload rate by setting it to one kilobit per second.
