With the development of computer technology, everyone began to spend more time at the monitor. The computer has become both an assistant in work and a means of communication. One of the most popular programs for interactive communication on the Internet is recognized as I Seek You, or simply ICQ.
Instructions
Step 1
To change your nickname in QIP, follow these steps.
Launch QIP, log in if your settings require it.
Step 2
In the upper panel of the opened QIP window, above the list of your friends, there are buttons that control the program. Click on the rightmost button "Show / Change my details".
Step 3
The "Data" window has opened in front of you with the "General" tab selected in it. This is the basic information that users will see immediately after they add you to their contact list. This is your ICQ number, nickname, name and your age. Please note that in the dialog box, your interlocutor sees both your name and nickname. The nickname is displayed directly in the message, before the time and date of departure, and the name is indicated in the top line of the open dialog box.
Step 4
To change your nickname in ICQ (in the QIP program), in the open "Data" window, select the "Info" tab. You will see windows with a name and a nickname written there. Delete the old information and fill in the new one. Click "Save".
Step 5
Nick change in ICQ 7.
Open ICQ 7. On the top panel, select the "Menu" tab.
Step 6
In the "Menu" window, click on the "Profile" tab. You will see the basic information of your account.
Step 7
At the top of the Profile panel, click the Edit link. You will see fields with your first name, last name, nickname and phone number (if you specified one).
Step 8
Delete the old information in the "Nick" column and enter the new one. Click OK.
Step 9
To change the nickname in the Miranda program, open the "Personal data" menu ("Personal information" in some versions of the program). Inside the window that opens is your current data.
Step 10
Make changes to the "Nickname" line, click the "Save" button.
