If you install an audio player on your page, website or blog, you can place audio files on various platforms and in any format. And by providing the site with original sound or music, you will attract many more users to your project. One of the most popular and easy to install is Audio Player.
Instructions
Step 1
Download the Audio Player plugin on the Internet after checking the page with a link for viruses. Activate it in WordPress. Go to the site editor as an administrator. Select "Settings". Check under the Default audio folder location in which folder the audio files will be sent by default (there should be an audio folder).
Step 2
Create an Audio folder in the root directory of your site. Download a test file in mp3 format into it. Paste it into the record. To do this, select any article on your site and enter the following into it (with square brackets): [audio: track_name. mp3].
Step 3
Configure the Audio Player plugin. Go to admin mode in WordPress, select settings, and then Audio Player. In the General tab, specify exactly how you will insert audio files: using the audio tag in square brackets, as a link, audio commentary, using custom fields, move the player by default to the beginning of the note.
Step 4
In the Display tab, change the color of the player to the desired one by selecting an object from the drop-down list (for example, background - background), and then its color. Evaluate the correctness of the choice when viewing. Change, if necessary, the width of the player by adjusting the value of width.
Step 5
Select the Feed options tab and specify what your subscribers will receive via RSS. If you do not want to send them audio files, select Nothing, if you want to provide them with a download link - Download link. Replace audio with text if desired by choosing Custom.
Step 6
Go to the Podcasting tab to set the parameters for playing any melody at the beginning / end of the article. Specify in the line Pre-appended audio clip URL: the address of the audio file that will be played after clicking on "Play". In the Post-appended audio clip URL: line, specify the address of the audio file to play after the main recording.
Step 7
Refer to the Advanced tab, where you can change, for example, the volume of the player by adjusting the Initial volume value. In addition, in Advanced, you can, if necessary, set the parameters for listening to audio (for example, after reading an article or following an internal link).
