Instructions

Step 1

Install the "VKontakte" comments module for Joomla. Download JL VKCOMMENTS to get started.

Step 2

Go to your Joomla engine control panel. Select the "Installation" menu item, in the drop-down list click on "Components" (Installers -> Components).

Step 3

Click on the Install New Component button. In the "Download the installation package" field, click "Browse". Find the archive with the module on your disk. Then click on the "Upload and Install" button.

Step 4

Sometimes the automatic installation is not entirely successful, then you have to configure the component manually: unpack the archive from to any folder on your local disk.

Step 5

Connect via FTP to your server by entering the data provided by the hoster. Go to the root directory of the site, go to media and create any folder in it, for example, / vkcom. Copy the component files into it.

Step 6

Log into your Joomla admin panel. Select "Installation -> Components" (Installers -> Components). Click on the "Install New Component" button. In the "Install from directory" section, specify the full path to the directory on the server, in our case it is media / vkcom. Then click on the "Install" button.

Step 7

There are also free comment scripts, one of which can be downloaded from the link at the end of the article. Download the script and unpack it to the server in any folder.

Step 8

Go to phpmyAdmin and create a new database. Import the previously created tables into the new database: go to the SQL tab, select db.sql.gzip, click the "Go" button (in older versions of the panel, import is carried out through the "Import" tab).

Step 9

Go to the "Privileges" tab and create a new user. Open the include / cfg.php file and change your database connection settings. Check the functionality by opening the index.php file.
