Improving the quality of advertising texts contributes to a manifold increase in profits. Instructions
Step 1
Set the goal you aim to achieve when applying testing. As a rule, the main goals are: attracting as many buyers as possible to the page and keeping them on it for a certain period of time.
Step 2
Create a list of changes to the site page. Compose different options for headers and structure of advertising texts, change the design of the page: backgrounds, fonts, banners, pictures and other elements.
Step 3
Install an optimizer on your website. Select the option to use the optimizer script: A / B Experiment or Multivariate Experiment. In the first variant, a separate URL is generated for each variant of the page when using the Google Website Optimizer, and the script redirects some of the site visitors to alternative pages. In the Multivariate Experiment variant, redirection to other URLs is not performed, the script alternates the changed blocks on your page.
Step 4
Experiment with major changes to the page structure and minor modifications to its elements. To reduce the time spent on testing, conduct it simultaneously on two or more parameters. In addition, you can test multiple pages at the same time.
Step 5
Analyze the behavior of visitors for each page variant (block on the page). Estimate the number of clicks and average time on the page for different options. Make a decision on the advisability of using this or that version of the site page.
