Recently, Irish users of the service helped the lost dog return home. A young Jack Russell Terrier named Patch, who lives in the small town of Kilcock, thirty kilometers west of Dublin, fled from his mistress on the night of July 2 to 3. The dog decided to take a walk to the local train station. There, the animal jumped into an international train traveling to the capital and went on a journey. On the train, the friendly Patch made the acquaintance of many of the passengers and members of the train. At first, people thought that the dog belonged to one of the passengers traveling to Dublin in the same train, so no one paid attention to the freely walking dog.
When the train arrived at the terminal station, it became clear to everyone that the dog was traveling without a master. Then the railroad workers photographed the Jack Russell Terrier and posted the picture on their official Twitter, accompanied by a comment that the dog was lost. Within thirty-two minutes, the message was retweeted by more than five hundred users. As a result, it caught the eye of Patch's owner. The woman immediately contacted the representatives of the railway and went to Dublin to pick up her pet. As a result, only a few hours passed between the disappearance of the dog and its happy return home.
Now Patch is back at home in his hometown. According to the hostess, on the way back, fellow travelers asked her more than once if "the same dog from Twitter" was traveling with her. And upon arrival home, the Jack Russell Terrier started their own microblogging. The friendly terrier already has over two hundred and fifty readers, and the number is constantly growing. In his twitter, Patch thanks his rescuers, communicates with friends, uploads his photos, and also helps in the search for other missing dogs.
