Step 1
You can block a site in the browser you usually use. To do this in Internet Explorer, open the Server menu in a running browser and select Internet Options. In the "Privacy" tab, click the "Sites" button and enter the addresses of the sites that should not be visited by your child. After the list is compiled, click "Block" and then OK.
Step 2
In order to block certain pages in Mozilla Firefox, you have to download a special plugin (for example, ProCon Latt or LeechBlock). After installing the plugin and restarting the browser, go to the "Tools" menu, select the tab with the name of the plugin, then click "Options" and make a list of pages that you want to block. In addition to completely blocking sites, you can temporarily block certain pages (for example, so that entertainment sites do not distract you from your work during the day).
Step 3
To block a site in Opera, open your browser and enter the Settings menu. Select the "Advanced" tab, then "Content". Use the "Add" button to enter the addresses of the prohibited sites, and then restart the browser.
Step 4
If you use multiple browsers on your computer, you can deny access to certain sites for all programs. To do this, open the C drive, find the "Windows" folder, then - the "System32" folder, in it "drivers", and then "etc". The folder "hosts" you need is located there. Open it with notepad and enter 127.0.0.1_site_name at the end of the document, and 127.0.0.1_full_site_address on the next line. Save your changes to your document.
Step 5
You can also block certain pages using the programs intended for this. For example, one of them is called "KinderGate Parental Control". After downloading and installing the program (keep in mind that activation is paid), launch the software. Find the "Ban address" button, then "Add", then enter the site address. A password is put on the program so that your children cannot bypass this limitation.
