When working on the Internet, the user often has to save certain data. In order to save the pages in the desired format or not to search for downloaded files later on the entire hard disk of your computer, you need to correctly configure your browser.
Instructions
Step 1
To configure saving files in the folder you need, start the browser, open "Tools - Options - Advanced - Downloads". At the bottom of the window, in the "Save downloaded files to" field, specify the storage location for the files - click the "Browse" button and select the desired folder. Save changes by clicking "OK".
Step 2
When downloading files - for example, archives, programs, images, etc., they will be saved in the specified folder. Immediately after the download starts, the "Downloads" tab will open, you will be able to monitor the process of downloading the file. If for some reason the download has stopped, you can start it over by clicking the "Restart" button in this tab.
Step 3
Sometimes the download pauses without an error message. In this case, click the "Stop" button, then "Resume". Usually, using this method it is possible to download the file to the end, but sometimes a failure occurs - the download process ends very quickly, a message appears stating that the download of the file is completed. But in reality, he remains circumcised. In this case, you must delete it and try to download it again.
Step 4
When loading site pages, pay attention to the format in which they are saved. Opera saves them in *.mht format by default. This is a convenient option for saving, since the entire page with images and other elements is placed in one file. When viewing pages saved to disk using Opera, you will not have any problems, but trying to open them in another browser may fail. If you want the saved pages to be guaranteed to be available in any browser, save them in *.html format.
Step 5
After downloading the file, you can immediately go to the folder containing it by clicking with the mouse the message that the download is complete that appears. The second option: on the "Downloads" tab, click the line with the file, right-click on the "Open folder" item. This option is also useful if you do not know where the file was saved.
