Nowadays it is very easy to create your own website. You just need to decide on its type and choose the appropriate CMS. Then choose a hosting and register a domain. Before installing the CMS and filling the site with information, it remains to attach a domain to the hosting.
Instructions
Step 1
To get started, log into the hosting admin panel - open the panel's address in your browser. The panel address is usually provided after you have registered a hosting account (a letter with data will be sent to you by email). In order to enter the administration panel, enter your username and password. Quite often, the hosting panel is addressed by the domain of the hosting website and is available via the HTTPS protocol on a port that differs from the standard ones.
Step 2
Go to the hosting admin panel in the section for adding a domain. Usually, the corresponding link is located on the domain list management page, which is available on the main page, or on the main page itself.
Step 3
Add a domain to your hosting account. As a result of this action, a new directory will be created on the server, which will correspond to the added domain. There will also be error and access logs for the domain. Also, special records for the domain will be created on the hoster's DNS servers. Write down or remember the addresses of the DNS servers.
Step 4
Log in to the control panel. To do this, in a browser, open its address specified by the reseller or registrar. Enter your username and password. Go to the panel.
Step 5
Now you need to change the list of DNS servers. Select the required domain in the registrar control panel. Go to the page for changing domain information. In the control panel, replace the existing list of domain DNS servers with the obtained one. Confirm the changes made.
Step 6
If you do not plan to immediately use the new domain, then when attaching it to the hosting, prohibit indexing of all site content using the robots.txt file.
Step 7
And if you need to start working with the resource before the completion of domain delegation, then make changes to the hosts file on your computer.
