Step 1
Go to the PureCSSMenu website. Here you will see a visual editor with which you can quickly and easily create a menu for any site.
Step 2
To go to the page where the menu templates are laid out, click on the "Templates" button, which is on the left. Then you need to select the template you like and click on it. In the "Preview" window, you will see a really working menu, which is created using cascading style sheets.
Step 3
Review each of the suggested templates to choose the one that best suits your site. If the color and font of the menu style you like do not fit the color scheme of the site, then you can change these parameters by clicking on the "Parametrs" tab.
Step 4
Change the color and font using HTML code or select it from the palette offered by the resource by clicking on the shade you like.
Step 5
Now create a menu structure for your site. To do this, click the "Items" button. In the tab that opens, you will see a button with a big plus sign and the inscription "Add Item". Click on this button and a new item will be added at the end of the menu. To insert a new item in the middle of the menu, select the tab after which should be added and click the button labeled "Add Next Item".
Step 6
To add a sub-item to the drop-down menu, press the button labeled "Add Subitem", after selecting the menu item that will contain the new tab. If you want to remove any of the items, then select it and click the "Remove Item" button.
Step 7
In the "Item Parameters" area it is necessary to fill in all the fields for the new menu to work correctly. In the “Text” field, enter the name of the menu item, in the “Link” field, enter the address of the page to which the transition will take place after clicking this button. To choose how the page should be opened, in the “Target” field, set the value “_self” or “_blank”. With the first option, the page will open in the same window, with the "_blank" function selected - in a new one.
Step 8
Now you need to paste the code of the created menu into your site. To do this, click on the "Download" button, which is located in the lower right corner, and select a folder on your computer where the purecssmenu-com.zip archive will be saved. After saving the file, unpack this archive and open the purecssmenu.html file, which contains your menu code. Copy this code and paste it into your website template file.
