Not all text on a web page is visible to a visitor immediately after it loads. Sometimes it also contains hidden text. This can be, for example, an answer to a math problem, a solution to a riddle. Also, keywords intended for search engines are hidden.
Instructions
Step 1
On wiki projects, large fragments of text can be invisible, cluttering the article, as well as spoilers - reviews and annotations to films that reveal the plot (after reading them, the films themselves are not interesting to watch). To read such a fragment, click on the link labeled "Show" (it may have other names). After that, all the text under it will go down, and the vacant space will be taken by a hidden fragment.
Step 2
On sites that do not use wiki technology, a slightly different way of turning text into invisible is often used. Its essence lies in the fact that the symbols are made in the same color as the background, which is why they merge with it. If the webmaster has not tested the site in all browsers, it is possible that in the one you are using, the text will be visible anyway. And in text browsers like Lynx, it will be a must. If the site is fully compatible with your browser, select the hidden fragment with the mouse, as if you would like to copy it. After that, it will become visible.
Step 3
If you want, you can make a hidden piece of text on your own page. To do this, take a look at what color is set for the background of the page in the tag. Set the same color for the font of the corresponding piece of text with the tag. At the end of the hidden snippet put the tag
Step 4
Keywords intended for search engines, as well as comments in HTML-code and scripts, when viewing the page in the usual way, are not displayed on the screen at all. To view them, display the source code of the page. In most browsers, the command "View" - "Source Code" is used for this. If the page is very large, search for keywords in the text to quickly find keywords. The transition to the search line input mode is carried out by pressing the Ctrl + F keys.
