E-mail has practically replaced traditional paper letters due to its speed and ability to send not only text messages, but also multimedia files. Often, for ease of recognition of contacts in the account form, users write detailed information about themselves and leave their photo. A photo in an e-mail profile performs the same function as an avatar on a page on a social network. Therefore, users often change userpics, trying to keep them up-to-date and relevant.
Instructions
Step 1
You can change the photo from your email account in your account settings. Log in to your mail site by entering your username and password in the appropriate form.
Step 2
After accessing your mailbox, open the "Settings" function. Find the item "Personal data" and click on it with the left mouse button. Here you see information about yourself, which becomes available to all your contacts by business or friendly correspondence. Mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk. The photo is not an indispensable condition for filling in the data, however, it cannot be deleted in the mail.ru service. If you don't want your picture to appear next to your social media posts or inside emails, replace your existing avatar with an abstract or neutral picture. Let it be an image of nature or a beautiful view of a metropolis. Add a reproduction of your favorite artist's painting to the userpic, or simply find a solid white image. Add it to your computer.
Step 3
Below your current photo is the Add / Change Photo button. Hover over it and left-click. The search for a file on your computer has opened in front of you. Enter the address of the picture and click on it when it appears in the list of available ones. Click on the "Open" button.
Step 4
The browser automatically opens the e-data settings page for you. Click on the "Upload" button, and after a few seconds, your chosen image will replace the previous photo in your email information.
Step 5
Select the thumbnail area to be shown in the thumbnail of your image. To do this, click on the highlighted area of settings with the left mouse button and, while holding it, move it to the central place of the picture. Click the Save and OK buttons to save the new photo to the server.
