You can visit it only once a week, but as a result of the passage, the player will receive excellent loot.
The add-on to World of Warcraft, which takes place on the territory of the game world of Northrend, is distinguished by an abundance of raids and dungeons, in which you can get not only protective armor for the characters, but also other bonuses. The Obsidian Sanctuary is considered the richest in such treasures.
History of the Obsidian Sanctuary
The Dragon Alliance, led by the leader of the red dragons, Alexstrasza the Life-Binder, has fought the Blue Dragons, the Scourge and other enemies for centuries. In addition, numerous conspiracies and feuds undermined the Union from within. During the Nexus War, Alexstrasza instructed her followers to thoroughly explore the territory of the Wyrmrest, looking for any signs of an internal threat.
The red dragons quickly discovered a nest of twilight dragon eggs spawned by Deathwing the Destroyer. It turned out to be hidden in the Obsidian Sanctuary of the Black Dragonflight. Their location was immediately taken under surveillance by Alexstrasza's associates. However, exhausted by the struggle with the Scourge, the Red Dragons did not dare to openly oppose the sanctuary, fearing to further bleed the ranks of their companions. Instead, Alexstrasza's consort Korialstrasz reported the twilight dragon egg-laying to his allies, the Dalaran Council of Six. Since then, the fight against the descendants of Deathwing the Destroyer has been entrusted to the Council of Six in Dalaran, and players must help them cleanse the sanctuary.
Location of the Obsidian Sanctuary
The Obsidian Sanctum is the home of the Black Dragons in the Dragon Halls. The entrance to it is located in a rift in the ice under Wyrmrest Temple in Dragonblight. The sanctuary has one raid boss - Sartharion Onyx Guardian and his three assistants, Tenebron, Shadron and Vesperon.
When passing the territory of the sanctuary, players can destroy all three dragons before fighting Sartharion, or leave them alive at their choice. Since the game is multiplayer, the more mini-bosses come to help their commander in this battle, the more difficult the battle will be, but at the same time, the better the reward for victory will be as a result. The passage of this raid dungeon is available for a group of players: 10 and 25 people.
The first thing that needs to be learned for those heroes who, at the call of the Council of Six, decided to challenge the forces of evil and join the fight against the twilight dragons in the Obsidian Sanctuary, is how to get into the lair with a clutch of eggs. To see the location of this playable zone, you need to refer to the Northrend map.
First of all, players need to get to the location of the dungeon: Dragonblight, located south of Dalaran. Around the middle of this area is the Wyrmrest Temple, around which ice dragon monsters are constantly circling. The entrance to the Obsidian Sanctuary is right below this temple. To get there, you just need to get to your destination. The road will have to be looked for by the remnants of a destroyed stone road visible on the ground.
How to find the entrance to the Obsidian Sanctuary
To find the entrance to the Obsidian Sanctuary dungeon, players will first have to find the entrance to the Wyrmrest Temple location. There, the sanctuary is adjacent to two other playable catacombs. The first entrance should be looked for in a gap near the walls of the huge structure of the Temple, and the summoning stone is also located there.

Correct passage of the bosses of the Obsidian Sanctuary
The raid to this location may differ in the number of participating heroes and in the difficulty of passing. The game is available as a regular passage in a group of 10 or 25 players, and heroic. There is only one boss in the Obsidian Sanctuary - Sartharion. It stands on a central patch of ground in the midst of seething lava flows. Three of his comrades-in-arms were located on the side platforms.
When passing the location, players first need to get rid of the mobs roaming the entire area of the sanctuary, Sartharion's assistants. Then you can destroy the owner of the dragon lair. This will give a win in the location, but such a tactic will not bring players the maximum possible bonuses in the form of the heroes' chance to receive flying mounts: black, amber or white dragon.
For the correct passage with the maximum win, it is very important to remember and try to implement one essential detail - you should not rush to kill the secondary bosses located on the side platforms of Sartharion's comrades-in-arms.
It is best to carefully move along the rocks, consistently clear the dungeon from the mobs moving along it. And as soon as they are finished, you need to immediately go to battle with Sartharion and not touch his three assistants for the time being.
When moving and fighting the boss, players need to be very careful with lava streams that surround the main monster on all sides. Fiery streams inflict significant damage to anyone who falls into them. Therefore, when moving from enemy to enemy, it is important not to linger in them for a long time.
Winning and Achievements for Players in the Obsidian Sanctuary
The Obsidian Sanctuary is a real treasure trove of various bonuses and achievements. All the heroes caught in it can try to take possession of them, in a single or team passage. For example, the players who win the battle of Sartharion in a group of 10 or 25 people receive an achievement that gives victory over the race of black dragons. And if players are able to avoid falling under his attacking ability "Lava Strike" during the battle with the boss, they will receive an achievement called "Threat of Eruption".
A group of incomplete players, for example, consisting of 8 or 20 people, after the destruction of the main boss of the dungeon receives achievement points called "Less is not better." When Sartharion is killed, those players who were able to leave one or two boss assistants alive receive the "Twilight Assistants" and "Twilight Duo" achievements, respectively. And if the players spare all three assistants, they will eventually become the owners of the "Twilight Zone" achievement and, in addition, the high rank "Twilight".
Achievements and armor as loot for heroism shown in the fight against evil are good rewards in themselves. However, most players tend to go through the location of the Obsidian Sanctuary in the hope of getting flying vehicles. This is due to the fact that in other dungeons such bonuses are obtained with much more difficulty. But in order to be guaranteed to get them here, players need, as already mentioned, not to rush to kill the secondary bosses located on the side platforms.
If this is not done, all free comrades-in-arms will rush to the aid of the central boss, complicating the already difficult struggle with him. In the normal mode of passage for 10 or 25 people, an amber dragon will fall from the body of Sartharion, in heroic mode - a black one. In addition, players will receive a dragon skin bag, military armor, and a bag of gems.
