Electronic, or network diaries (aka blogs) have become very popular both among young people and among the older generation of Internet users. Just like social networks, blogs help people communicate, share their thoughts and photos, and find new friends and associates with the same interests. For a beginner, the process of creating an online diary can seem daunting. But in fact, this is a very interesting activity that allows you to show the creative side of the person. Where do you start?
Instructions
Step 1
First of all, determine on which resource you would like to create your diary. The Internet offers many options for this solution: livejournal.com, diary.ru, blogger.com, and so on. How to decide? See which of these resources are used by most of your friends and acquaintances? Where can you find the most information that suits your interests? The convenience of the blog interface plays a rather large role, but it is difficult to determine this aspect without trying to use the resource.
Step 2
To create a blog, you need to register on the Internet resource of your choice. Find the link "Register" and follow the instructions that will be given to you. To register a blog, you will need to indicate your e-mail, choose a username and password, and also indicate the name of the future blog.
Step 3
After the end of registration, in most cases, you need to wait for an e-mail letter with a link to activate your account. If the letter does not arrive, check if you entered your e-mail correctly. Or look into the "Spam" folder in your mailbox: the letter you are expecting may be there.
Step 4
After activating your account, you can start designing your blog. As a rule, for this you need to look in the "Settings" menu, and find there the item "Design" or "Diary Design". There you can choose the background, font, style of your future blog. If you're feeling insecure as a web designer, use one of the ready-made templates. You can also ask any blog design and layout community of your choice for help.
Step 5
Choose your avatars (userpics), in accordance with your preferred network image and your interests. You can also use the most successful of your own photos. Try to keep the avatars in the same style. It is also desirable that they overlap with the general design of the diary. You can also pick up a set of avatars in the thematic community, or on the forum.
Step 6
Form your favorites feed. If you have contacts of friends and acquaintances blogging on the same resource, use them. If you add their blogs to your favorites, you can track their new posts as they appear. Find using a search service or a thematic directory of the resource of your choice, communities that match your interests.
