Every day you perform hundreds of actions while working at the computer. For convenient work, you change the settings in the BIOS, programs and social networks on the Internet. Be sure to apply your changes so you don't have to make the adjustment twice.

Step 1
If you need to configure, connect, disconnect any device, you will probably use the BIOS settings - the main input / output system of devices. Whichever setting you are configuring, it is important to apply the changes before exiting. In different versions from different manufacturers, the name of this option may differ: Save CMOS & Exit Setup / Save & Exit Setup / Save and Exit. For efficiency, the F10 key is sometimes used. After you have chosen an action, a window will appear to confirm saving the changes. Press Y if you agree, N if you are not sure about the correct settings. If you just restart your computer, the changes will not be saved.
Step 2
If you are working in a program, the point of applying changes will also be different. In some applications, it is enough to select the desired option and close the window. If in the settings menu there are items "Apply", OK or Save, then after making changes you need to click on them. It is especially important not to forget to click on the "Apply" button if the settings window contains several tabs. You can click "Apply" after each action and continue with the configuration. If you click OK, all changes are saved and the window is closed. In some programs, you can see the result immediately, but if the changes affect the hardware, you may need to restart the computer.
Step 3
Some programs have the ability to save settings to a separate file. You can use it even when you reinstall the program. This function is usually called Save Profile. To load this file, find the Load Profile item in the menu.
Step 4
When you surf the Internet, you also have to change the settings for the display of some sites. As with software, some sites do not require confirmation in order to change, you see them in real time. If there is a "Save" button on the page (usually at the bottom), then you must click on it for the changes to take effect.
Step 5
When working on creating a site, you can use a site editor, such as, for example, on Narod.ru. There are some inscriptions that are reflected on all pages of the site. If you change such an inscription, after closing the editing window a message like "Apply to all pages" will appear. Click on "Yes" if you agree, or select "Apply to this page only". Do not forget that the final step will be "Publishing changes to the site."
