Thunderbird email client has the ability to create virtual folders. With its help, you can search among all emails according to a predefined filter. Outwardly, a virtual folder is no different from a regular one.

Instructions
Step 1
The virtual folder got its name only because its contents are only temporary for the current storage. You open mail, set a filter by specifying the necessary parameters, and certain letters appear inside the virtual folder. Refresh the current window and the contents of the folder will dissolve to the old directories or delete it manually. It is also possible to customize this tool so that virtual directories are always present.
Step 2
To create a virtual folder, click the "File" top menu, then left-click on the "Create virtual folder" line. Also, this action can be performed through the search bar. To do this, after performing the search operation in the input line, select the "Save search results as folder" option.
Step 3
In the "New virtual folder" window that opens, enter a name in the appropriate field and select a local folder, which, in turn, will contain the virtual one. Below you should specify the search conditions for letters, if they have not been set up to this point. Click OK or the Enter key to close the current window.
Step 4
If, for some reason, the search for the required letters has not yet been set, you can do it later at any time. To do this, just click the top menu "Edit", select the item "Find" and click on the line "Search messages".
Step 5
To change the search options in an already created virtual folder, right-click on it and select "Properties". In the dialog box that opens, change your search terms, and then click OK. If you did not find a single letter inside the virtual folder, therefore, you need to update the contents of the directory - first click on any real folder, then on the virtual one.
