The upcoming 2016 is the time of hot new products and premieres. There have not been such a number of high-profile releases for about five years. Games of 2016 on PC promise to be interesting, exciting, with beautiful graphics and powerful special effects. Not only new projects are being prepared for release in 2016, but also the continuation of games loved by many gamers, such as the legendary Mafia dilogy, Deus Ex and others. So, the most anticipated games of 2016.
Quantum Break
This project tells the story of an unsuccessful physics experiment, as a result of which the main characters of the game received unique abilities. One of them can see the future, and the other two can control the passage of time, slowing down and speeding it up. The scientific aspect of the game is carefully worked out: nuclear physicists from CERN were involved in the work on the project, and this says a lot. So Quantum Break can and should be recorded in the most anticipated new PC games of the coming year.
For Honor
This game was shown at the Ubisoft press conference in the framework of E3 2015. The main focus here is on cooperative battles with melee weapons in 4x4 format. The player can choose a representative of one of three factions (knights, Vikings and samurai) as characters, each of which has its own set of techniques and weapons. The trailer looks nice, as does the graphics in the gameplay, however it is not yet clear if this game will have a single player campaign. If Ubisoft is limited to only multiplayer mode, it will disappoint many fans of the genre.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
The new part of the famous Deus Ex series should be released early next year. The plot of this PC game in 2016 revolves around the confrontation between humans and cyborgs, which reached its climax after the events of Human Revolution. The graphics in the game have become more perfect, the AI has improved, and a number of innovations have appeared in the gameplay.
Dishonored II
The previous Dishonored, despite the entertaining plot and emphasis on secrecy, turned out to be a controversial project, but still quite worthy of a continuation. The events of the second part take place some time after the end of the first, and players will be able to control not only the beloved by many gamers Corvo Attano, but also the heiress of the Empress Emily Kaldwin. The throne of the Island Empire is again in danger, and again the main character rushes to the rescue. Details about Dishonored 2 are few, but it is known that the release will take place in the spring of 2016.
Mafia iii
The world premiere of the third installment of the famous Mafia was made at the current Gamescom exhibition. It is known that the events of the game will take place in New Orleans in the 1960s. The protagonist of Mafia III will be Vietnam War veteran Lincoln Clay, whose comrades-in-arms were killed by Italian mafiosi. This project was met with some disapproval: many players blame the developers for deciding to deviate from the canons of the series. Indeed, the game is more like Driver: Parallel Lines and Just Cause. Nevertheless, it is worth noting the fact that one of the minor characters will be the hero of the second "Mafia" Vito Scaletta, and also mention that the developers promise to tell about the fate of Vito's friend Joe Barbaro. And that's good news.
Doom
The third part of Doom was not very successful, and some fans of the series were already disappointed in it. However, a video of the gameplay of the updated Doom shown at E3 showed that it was too early to lose heart. The developers decided to return to the canons. The new part of the game promises to be insanely cruel and bloody - in the best traditions of the legendary series. It is reported that Doom will add multiplayer with an abundance of modes, as well as a map editor. The release is due in the spring of 2016.
World of Warcraft: Legion
Legion is the sixth expansion for the famous MMORPG World of Warcraft, in which players will experience a large-scale demonic invasion. For the first time, class halls will be introduced into the game, where representatives of different factions will be able to communicate with each other and create orders. A new class will also be available - the Demon Hunter with its own class differences, the ability to see through walls and make double jumps. These are not all innovations. Gamers should familiarize themselves with the full list of those, since there is less than a year left to wait for the release.
Mirror's Edge: Catalyst
Catalyst is not a sequel, but rather a reboot of the original. The main character of the game is the same Faith, who is still opposed to the dystopia in which she lives. The developers promise to implement a completely open game world, as well as introduce secondary tasks that can be taken in addition to the storyline ones. The updated Mirror's Edge will be released in February 2016.
No Man's Sky
Coverage of the most anticipated PC games of 2016, one cannot fail to mention No Man's Sky. This is an open world space sandbox. Players don't have to destroy crowds of alien mutants, they don't have to play heroes to save the galaxy. At each start of the game, the universe will be generated randomly, so the gameplay cannot be called linear. The player himself will decide whether to become a bounty hunter, an intergalactic pirate, an explorer of new stars and planets, or someone else. This promising project is slated for release in early 2016.
Kingdoms Come: Deliverance
While listing the 2016 PC games that the gaming community is eagerly awaiting, it's also worth saying a few words about Kingdoms Come: Deliverance. The development of this medieval sandbox is led by the man to whom the immortal Mafia, Daniel Vavra, owes its existence. The game was funded on Kickstarter, and Vavra personally promised fans of his work to combine in the new project the best features of such famous games as Mount & Blade, Dark Souls and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. In the summer of 2016, players will have interesting tasks, exciting battles and excellent picture quality on the Cry Engine.
