The Dark Brotherhood, a powerful assassination organization in Tamriel, is preparing in the province of Skyrim the loudest and most dangerous crime in its history - the assassination of the emperor. Events begin to unfold after the player joins this faction. The preparations for the murder are very thorough, the last step is the elimination of the famous orc chef Gourmet, who cooks for the emperor.
Quest "Killing recipe"
The Dark Brotherhood, with the help of a newly minted member - a dragonborn player - has completed all the stages of preparation for a daring murder, only the last steps remain: you need to gain access to the imperial kitchen in order to poison him. But it is impossible to do this without a special diploma from the cook; random people are not allowed close to the ruler. The Dark Brotherhood learns that the famous chef Gourmet, the author of a cookbook, has been invited to prepare dishes for the imperial table in Skyrim. If you pretend to be a Gourmet and get his certificate, you can easily enter the kitchen.
The only problem is that the identity of the Gourmet is not known to the Dark Brotherhood, and the player is tasked with finding this chef, killing him, picking up the letter and hiding the body so that no one will discover the substitution ahead of time. Only one character can know about the Gourmet - his friend Anton Viran, a cook from Markarth's palace. If he is well intimidated, he will betray the great culinary expert - it turns out to be the orc Balagog gro-Nolob from the "Night Gate" tavern, which is in the south-west of Skyrim, near Lake Yorgrim. He lives in the basement of the tavern, in a small room that can be accessed from the entrance behind the bar.
How to hide the Gourmet's body?
Killing a Gourmet for an experienced member of the Dark Brotherhood is not a problem, you can use any weapon and any techniques. But the question arises of what to do with the body - if someone finds the dead imperial cook, it will be impossible to complete the task. There are several ways to hide the body. If you commit a murder in the basement, you can use a large barrel for this - it stands right next to the bed.
You can hide it behind wine barrels in the basement. If you watch the Gourmet near the tavern, hide his body under the haystacks nearby. Sometimes the orc walks near the lake, in which case he can simply be thrown into the water. The most dexterous killers wait for the cook to come out to the pier, and, hiding, kill him with an accurate shot from a bow - in this case, the body falls into the lake. It remains only to take the letter from him, and the task can be considered completed.
To drag the body (like any other item in the Skyrim game), you need to hold down the E key if you have the default settings. Otherwise, press another action button that you have installed, or look in the control settings which key is used to move things.
