The increase in the speed of the Internet connection through a 3G modem is associated, as a rule, with software tools based on the removal of speed restrictions. However, in recent years, technical possibilities have also appeared.
Software
The first way to increase the speed of your Internet connection is based on disabling speed limits. By removing the restrictions, you can increase the bandwidth of the channels, thereby increasing the speed.
In order to increase the bandwidth of the channels, you need to go to the "Device Manager" panel. You can find it by opening the Start menu, My Computer and clicking the System Properties button. In this window, namely in the upper left part of it, there is a link to the "Device Manager" panel. All subsequent actions will take place in this window.
In the list of all devices there is an item called "Ports". When you click on the triangle next to the name, a sub-list of all ports on the computer opens. Among them should be a port that has a combination of "3G" in its name. As a rule, there are few ports connected to a computer, so it is easy to find the one you need. Most modems for receiving a 3G signal are manufactured by Huawei, so the name of the port will most likely include this name of the modem brand. It should be noted that often in the list of sweats there are several ports associated with connecting a 3G modem. In this case, the following procedures must be performed with all ports.
So, having selected a port, you need to right-click on it and select Properties from the context menu. In the section that appears, there should be a "Port Settings" tab. Among all the parameters there is an item "Bit per second", which sets the port bandwidth. It is necessary to set the value of this item to the maximum possible, that is, to the value of 128000. Further changes must be saved by pressing the "OK" button, and a similar procedure must be carried out with all ports in any way connected to the 3G Internet.
Technical means
The technical way to increase the speed of connecting to 3G Internet is to install an additional antenna that receives a 3G signal. These antennas come in a variety of shapes and designs. They also differ in the place of their application, that is, there are both external and internal. When choosing an antenna, it is necessary to be guided by the geography of the location of the 3G modem, its distance from the nearest transmitting station. This information will allow you to select the required bandwidth of the modem, its amplifying qualities. As a rule, a place for connecting a modem, that is, a USB connector, is set in the focus of a 3G antenna. And the USB cable from the antenna is connected to the computer.
