Step 1
Select the user to whom you will write a message. Click on his name or avatar. However, in some forums, you need to click the right mouse button, not the left one. Select the User Profile button from the menu. You will find yourself on his page. Find a button next to your account to send a message. As a rule, such an inscription is called "Send message", "Write to user" or something similar. Click on it.
Step 2
Enter the question in the "Subject" field that you wish to ask. As usual, this item is optional on forums. However, if you are writing to an unknown user, then it is advisable to indicate this so that the message does not look like spam. Then, under the subject, enter your text. You can attach a file of different formats to the message. It can be photo, video, audio. Then click "Preview". Review the written text and check it for errors. Then click "Send". The message will be sent to the user.
Step 3
Download a messaging program. The most famous messengers are ICQ, Skype. To send a message through these programs, you need to have a registered account. Register and activate your account. If you want to write to the addressee in a program, for example, ICQ, then find his nickname in the list and click on it 2 times with the left mouse button.
Step 4
On the screen, you will see a message box, which is divided into two parts. In the upper section of the window, you can watch your friend's messages and your sent messages. In the lower section, you will write text to the user. There are also additional functions where you can change the size and color of the font, find various emoticons and other icons. After the message is written, you can send it by pressing the Enter key twice or using the "Send" button located in the lower corner of the window.

Please note that the user will still receive the message if he is not online. As soon as he connects to ICQ, he will receive your information.
