Most web surfers use the mode of automatic memorization by the browser of logins and passwords entered in the authorization forms of various web resources. This is a very convenient option, but over time, a fair number of no longer used names and passwords accumulate in the browser's memory. Every modern browser has the appropriate tools to selectively remove authorization data from the lists it stores.
Instructions
Step 1
When using the Opera browser, you need to open the "Settings" section in the menu and click on the "Delete personal data" line to gain access to the uninstall settings. The list of presets is collapsed by default, and click on the "Detailed setting" text to expand it. Find the "Password Management" button in the list and click on it to open the list of sites whose logins and passwords are stored in the browser's memory. Find the web resource you need and click on its name - this will open the section of the list of logins and passwords related to the forms of this site. Click the username that has become unnecessary and click the "Delete" button.
Step 2
When using Internet Explorer, you will have to go to the authorization page of the web resource, the login to which must be deleted. Double-click in the login field to see a list of browser-stored usernames for this form. Use the up and down arrow keys to select the username you no longer need and delete it by pressing the Delete key.
Step 3
If you are using Mozilla FireFox, open the Tools section of the menu and click Options. In the window for changing the settings, go to the "Protection" tab and click the "Saved passwords" button in the "Passwords" section. In this way, you will open a list of logins and their corresponding web resources. Find an unused username in the list and delete it by clicking the "Delete" button.
Step 4
If you are using Google Chrome, select Options from the menu opened by clicking the wrench icon. The browser will show a settings page, on the left side of which you need to click the "Personal Content" link. Find the button that says "Manage Saved Passwords" and use it to open the Passwords page. In the list of sites and logins to them, hover the cursor over the line that should be deleted - a cross will appear at its right edge, which should be clicked.
Step 5
If you are using Apple Safari, clicking the gear icon or the Edit section of the menu opens a list of commands where you select the Preferences line. In the window that opens, go to the "AutoComplete" tab and click the "Edit" button located next to the "Usernames and passwords" line. In the window with the list of websites and related logins, find the unnecessary one and delete it by clicking the "Delete" button.
