Adding a site as a friend is one of the ways to attract new visitors to your site. After all, when you “make friends” with another site, you agree to add a link or banner to a friendly site.
Instructions
Step 1
First, find the site on the network with which you want to "be friends". Look for a site that is similar in popularity and traffic to yours, it should be a site of the same topic as yours, or close to it.

Next, write to the site owner about your intention to exchange links (contact details are usually listed at the bottom of the page). After a positive answer, place a link or banner of a friendly site on your home page or in a separate "Site friends" menu.
Step 3
How to place a banner or link on a regular html page: go to the site root through your hosting cPanel (or via FTP). Open index.html through the editor, find the place in the document where the link or banner will hang. Paste there the code that the owner of another site gave you (this is either a picture with a link, or just a link).
Step 4
To place a banner or link to another site through the Instant CMS engine, enter the admin panel, add a new banner ("Components-> Banners-> Add banner"). Enter its name, insert a link to it, select the position where the banner will be displayed and upload a picture. Click "Save". If you need to install a link, not a banner, then do not upload a picture, but just paste the link to the site in the appropriate field.
Step 5
Placing a link to a friendly site through the Joomla engine is similar to the method for Instant CMS: enter the admin panel, create a new category (for example, "Banners"). Create a client (this is a link to the site you are working with), assign the created category to him.
Step 6
Create a new banner ("Components-> Banners-> Banners"). Click on the plus sign, enter all the necessary data (name, picture code, link to the transition, etc.). Click on the "Save" button.
Step 7
Go to "Extensions-> Modules", create a new module. Enter the details, select the client and the banner category. Save your changes and check the result.
