If you want to use for your site your favorite ready-made template developed on the basis of the content management system (CMS) Joomla, of which there are a great many on the network, and you need to remove the Joomla main menu, which does not suit you due to design discrepancy or simply as unnecessary, then turning it off is easy. It all comes down to performing a few simple steps.
It is necessary
- - Internet address of the site control panel;
- - login to enter the site control panel;
- - password for entering the site control panel.
Instructions
Step 1
Go to your CMS Joomla control panel at https://vash-sait.ru/administrator/. You will see the login page for the administrative section. Fill in the fields "Login" and "Password", enter the managerial part.
Step 2
Select in the second row the bookmark in the form of an image labeled "Menu". You will see the "Menu Manager" page, which will show all the currently available menus of your site - any of them can be edited. Opposite the "Main Menu" link, click on the "Edit Menu Items" icon.
Step 3
On the edit page, check the boxes that you want to hide. If you need to remove the Joomla main menu completely, check the top box No., and all other boxes below will also have green checkmarks.
Step 4
At the top of the page, find the "Hide" tab and click on it. All items of the main menu will now become inaccessible to users on the site, and the menu itself will disappear from all pages, as you can see for yourself by opening the site for viewing. If in the future you need to turn on the main menu again, then do the same and click on the "Show" tab.
