The social network "Vkontakte" previously had the function of adding animated images as an avatar of a user or community. Over time, this function has ceased to exist, but the ability to download animated images has been preserved.

Instructions
Step 1
Go to the menu for editing the image of your page on the Vkontakte social network. To do this, open the new image upload under the user avatar menu. You will see a menu for loading an image on your screen, select an animation image from your hard drive and load it using the browse button, having previously indicated the path to it in your computer.
Step 2
Wait until the file is copied to the social network server, and then set up a small copy of your avatar. Note. that all the animations you loaded will have a static look. The same applies when you need to set an animation as a community profile picture or public page. The avatar is loaded through the page control panel. This action is available only to the administration of the public.
Step 3
If you want to upload an animated image to the site of the Vkontakte social network, use the Documents menu item, which supports uploading files of the most well-known formats. To do this, activate this menu for your profile on the settings panel by checking the box opposite it. After that, an additional menu item with a corresponding name should appear in the left side panel.
Step 4
Go to the "Documents" menu and click on adding a new position, then through the file browsing on your computer, specify the path to your animated picture. Upload it to the server, then specify the privacy parameters of the document if you want to send it to a specific user.
