When visiting various sites on the Internet, the browser stores the URLs of the links in the browsing history. This is very handy if you want to find a site that you have visited recently. But sometimes it happens that such statistics are undesirable and you need to delete your browsing history. How can you do this in the Google Chrome browser?
It is necessary
- A computer
- Google Chrome Browser
Instructions
Step 1
Open the Google Chrome browser and find the icon in the form of a wrench in the upper left corner. When you hover over it, a tooltip "Configuring and managing Google Chrome" will appear. Click on it. In the drop-down menu, find the "History" item and enter it.
Step 2
On the right side of the History row, click Edit List. In the new window, press the button "Delete browsing data".
Step 3
A new Clear Browsing Data window will open. Check the box next to "Clear browsing history" and select just above the period for which you want to delete the history. If you select "For all time", then all history of visiting sites from the very beginning of using the Google Chrome browser will be deleted. There you can also select a different period for deleting history.
Step 4
Click the Delete Browsing Data button. Wait a while, until the box with a checkmark closes by itself. After that, your story will be deleted.
