It is worth immediately clarifying which catalogs we are talking about. As a rule, webmasters try to add their site to the most famous directories, for example, Yandex, Google or Rambler. However, getting there is not so easy, you will have to do a lot of work on the content of the site beforehand.

Step 1
So before you add your resource to the catalog, fill it with content, and only unique content. The fact is that large systems put forward certain requirements according to which a site that contains full or partial duplicates from others already published in the resource catalog cannot be added. In no case do not submit for registration pages without content, unfinished. They will have too low priority, so you will have to wait a long time for the robot to re-visit. It follows from this that at this stage, the inclusion of such sites will only slow down their appearance in the directory.
Step 2
For free registration, follow the link https://yaca.yandex.ru/add_free.xml. You will be taken to a page with a questionnaire. In it, you will have to fill in such fields as site address, name, description, webmaster's email address, genre, category and region. In addition, you will need to enter the code from the picture, which protects against automatic registration in the system. Click the "Submit Application" button. This instruction is intended to be added to the Yandex catalog.
Step 3
Please note that Yandex does not guarantee any specific terms for consideration of applications, nor that the site will be published at all. Editors can deny your request if the resource does not meet the catalog requirements. Sites that contradict the legislation of the Russian Federation, that is, containing propaganda of terrorism, violence, hatred, as well as sites with pornographic content and spam, are not registered either. Pages without a thematic focus, known and interesting only to a few acquaintances of the creator of the resource, are not accepted for consideration.
Step 4
To add to the Google directory, go to the Open Directory Project page, select a category, a section, then a subsection. At the very bottom of the resource you will see the link "Add a site" - click on it. Do not forget to fill in the fields "Site URL", "Site description", "Title", "Email address". Enter the text from the picture and click the "Submit" button.
