Almost all of the web is based on html. Without knowing what tags are, and how this or that tag works, it is difficult to imagine that a person can successfully master Perl, PHP, ASP and other web technologies. Therefore, it is very important to get a solid knowledge of the html language.
Nowadays, there are website builders that allow you to design a web project in WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) mode.
Indeed, you can visually change the design of the site, and immediately evaluate the result. It is also easy to add text - just print it, select the required font, size and other attributes. The same is the case with image insertion.
Why then learn html? What is this anyway?
HTML is a hypertext markup language for documents. And you absolutely need it in at least two cases:
1. You want to completely abandon the use of the website builder, because you want to do everything yourself.
2. You have decided to learn a web programming language.
Both in the first and in the second case, you cannot do without knowledge of html. In the second case, you need this knowledge, since it is basic for learning web programming languages.
Be patient. This is hardly the most important thing in learning. Remember that at first you are unlikely to succeed.
It is necessary to know the theory, because without a clear understanding of how this or that language structure works, you are unlikely to be able to design full-fledged sites. But practice is much more important. Having received any knowledge in the field of html, immediately apply it in practice. Do not look at the design of the pages, look at their functionality, at how what you have applied works. Remember that in different browsers what you write may differ slightly in functionality. If something doesn't work as expected, try opening the page in a different browser.
Divide all tags conditionally into 2 categories: service and content. While the former are used solely for business purposes, the tags of the latter category are used to form the entire content of your web pages. This division will help you better understand the structure of the language, as well as separate one from the other.
Do not spend a single day without studying. The regularity of classes is the key to success. You can learn new information, or put it into practice. The main thing is to do it every day.
Learning in this way, consulting in the learning process on various sites and forums, you will surely come to success. But remember that learning html is only a small tip of a huge iceberg. Ahead is CSS, Javascript, then web programming languages. Therefore, a solid knowledge of html will be the key to further successful training in the art of the web.
