It is much more difficult to search for a person in blogs than, for example, in social networks of a different format - on sites such as Vkontakte or My World, since the real name and surname of a person are less often indicated in blogs. Often a blog is created to promote a product or service, or to keep an anonymous diary. However, social networks can still help you in this difficult task. Often in the "Personal Site" section (it can be called in different ways) people post data about their blog. Of course, you often need to be a friend of a person to see this kind of information, but in some cases such an opportunity is still there. Don't neglect social media if it can help you.

Another way is to search by interests. First, just try to enter keywords into the search engine that may be related to your blog. You will be presented with a list of sites where these words occur. You can use both a standard search engine and a search on individual sites (for example, in the "Live Journal"), designed to create online diaries. Look not only for entries by specified keywords, but also comments. Don't neglect communities. However, in order to find a person in blogs in this way, you need to know him well. Interests, the style inherent in his written speech, the range of topics - all this is the information that you should already know in advance. Try a search by more standard parameters: the city where the person lives, date of birth, and so on. Keep in mind the IP address as well: some blogs have a function to save the IP address of users who leave comments on posts.

Make a list of diaries that are believed to belong to the person you are looking for. Do not stop at the analysis of the diaries themselves, go through the list of friends: it is quite possible that the nicknames themselves will tell you a lot.
